In the life of a child of God and in the church, there often is no easier sin to commit than the sin of prayer neglect.

A primary distinctive of the early church and the original apostles was the fact that they were fully apprehended by things of eternal value.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you” (Matt. 6:33).

On a recent Saturday morning, I received a text message from Evangelist Daniel Kolenda (the successor to Reinhard Bonnke’s ministry) letting me know that our dear brother Reinhard had passed away and that he was with Jesus.

William Seymour believed that there was clearly a key or secret that contributed to the success of the Azusa Street outpouring, especially during the initial three-year period that was marked as the time of the greatest fruit (1906-1909). He articulated the Azusa standard in this fashion: “…the secret is: one accord, one place, one heart, one soul, one mind, one prayer.”

A lot has changed in America over the last 50 to 60 years. Culture has redefined itself, and the result is a level of tolerance and an acceptance of sinful activity that has been masqueraded as compassionate, loving, affirming, understanding, accepting and so forth.

The apostle Paul declared the following in 1 Corinthians 4:15 (ESV), “For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father through the gospel.”
